Terry is a 1984 graduate from Stephen Decatur High School. A three year varsity starter, named All-Turkey Tournament team, a leading scorer and most valuable player, a 3-time Macon County first team selection and honorable mention All-State.
At Parkland College, he won a D2 National Junior College basketball championship. Terry was second in scoring for the team and led in steals and assists. Terry is already a two time Hall of Fame inductee: Parkland College and the Illinois Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame.
