The now-closed Decatur/Stephen Decatur High School has four boys basketball state championship teams, the 1930-31, 1935-36 and 1944-45 teams and the 1962 team (which was previously enshrined along with the late Gay Kintner, who coached the the '31, '36 & '45 teams). Several members of those teams already have been enshrined, including Bob "Chick" Doster, Ray Rex, Ken Park, and Dale Minick.
The '30-'31 team finished the year 29-4 en route to their title,
The '35-'36 champions went 24-11
The '44-'45 team won their crown with a 39-2 record.
