Michael Clevenger is a well-decorated cross-country and track and field distance runner, first at MacArthur, then at the home of the Fighting Irish, Notre Dame, and concluding with the Georgetown Hoyas.
Clevenger is one of the all-time best distance runners to come through District 61 high schools, winning multiple state cross-country and distance track and field events. In 2011 he was deemed IL’s Gatorade Cross Country Runner of the Year. In Illinois High School Association cross-country competition, Clevenger won back-to-back titles in 2010-11 and 2011-12 and was deemed Male Athlete of the Year in 2012 by the IL Track and Cross Country Coaches Association. Additionally, he was an Illinois State Scholar and an IHSA All-state academic team. His college career at Notre Dame earned him Big East Academic All-Star accolades, all-ACC recognition, and multiple all-region honors.

Michael excels in both the classroom and athletics because of his internal drive for success. Education and learning combined with dedication and will power is the cornerstone of Michael's personality. Michael's success is no mistake or coincidence. Michael has intelligence and talent and he takes those ingredients with his unrelenting work ethic to achieve all challenges.
