A 1992 graduate, Marcus Phillips was pivotal in leading our Hall of Fame team, the 1992 MacArthur Track Team, to the state title with championships in both the 110 and 300 hurdles. He was just the third athlete in state meet history to accomplish both hurdle titles in one season. Marcus was also a member of the state champion 400 relay team where he accounted for 30 points at the meet. In college, Marcus was an All-ACC performer in the 400 hurdles and part of the 1997 ACC Championship team for Clemson University.
