Marsha prepped at MacArthur where she excelled in volleyball, earning a scholarship to the University of Kentucky where she continued her career. In 1980 she lead the Wildcats to a 39-8 record season where her team later won the regional championship. In 1982 & 1983 Marsha received All-American accolades in the Southeastern conference and had 148 blocks and 874 kills her senior year where Marsha held single season Kentucky records in addition to holding top NCAA records in volleyball.
